Christ’s Love (Re)moves Borders

GENERAL INFORMATION TO GETI 2022 APPLICANTS

The Global Ecumenical Theological Institute (GETI) 2022, which builds on the legacy of previous events, will take place 27 August-9 September 2022 during the 11thAssembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, under the theme `Christ’s Love (Re)moves Borders’. It will be a blended learning experience consisting of a four-week phase of e-learning 25 July-20 August 2022, before the residential phase at Karlsruhe. GETI 2022 will offer 170 participants from the global ecumenical family an opportunity to theologically and contextually reflect together on the chosen five thematic areas that encompass many of today’s pressing issues.

Over time and after GETI 2013 and GETI 2018, GETI has become a flagship programme of WCC-ETE. It brings together young and emerging ecumenical theologians and educators from a broad spectrum of Christian traditions and all eight regions of the WCC to engage with one another on current critical theological themes.
